Update – guideline changes

Dear all,

Following the ever changing situation, and our promise to keep you updated, please find the latest Conditions of Hire – Exceptional – due to Covid 19 restrictions v2_October2020 and SDVH_Covid19_RiskAssessment_v2_October2020 for the hall. We can, at the moment, only accept parties of up to 6 people, but are pleased to report that two groups have managed to return under these conditions, and our caretaker is doing a marvelous job, keeping us all safe.

Best wishes,

Alice

Update – hall opening under strict guidelines

The management committee are please to confirm that the hall will re-open to users with effect from 1 September 2020.

However, before any group or individual can use the hall they will be required to contact the bookings secretary, Alice Weston and agree to the revised terms and conditions of use: Conditions of Hire – Exceptional – due to Covid 19 restrictions

The management committee have conducted a risk assessment and put in place measures to mitigate risks of Covid-19 transmission and users will be expected to have reviewed their own plans for how they will use the facility.  Alice will happily talk through plans with you, and the Risk Assessment we have undertaken can be found here: SDVH_Covid19_RiskAssessment_August2020

If you have any questions, do email Alice.Weston@sussex.ac.uk

Coronavirus update

Regrettably, the hall remains closed.

We have thought about how we can open up – we have put up signs and supplied extra cleaning materials – but we are following government guidelines closely and are not at the point where  groups of people meeting indoors can be deemed safe.

If you would like to discuss the use of the hall for one-to-one appointments, please do contact Alice in the normal way.

Stay safe & in contact,

Best wishes,

The Management Committee

Coronavirus

Coronavirus: due to social distancing measures and the threat to the health and wellbeing of us all, it is with regret that we must close the hall to all bookings, with immediate effect.

This will be reviewed at the end of April, and may well be extended further.

Regrettably, this will coincide with our biggest fundraising event of the year, The Bluebell Walk.  This event is hosted with considerable input and support from the Tottington Woodlanders, but given that is a group event we cannot go ahead with it this year.

We will update you on the website, via Facebook, and through direct communication with user groups, as to when we will be able to offer bookings again.

Stay safe and in contact, everyone, and best wishes,

The Management Committee

Bluebell Walk

Saturday April 18th at 2 pm from Small Dole Village Hall.

The walk will be guided, with information about Tottington Woods’ flora.
From 3pm tea and cakes will be available in the Hall for £3.
